THE HOUSE PARTY: MY WEEKLY EDIT

Hello there, I’m Lindsey Isla, the founder here at HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE.

I’d like to bring to you, on a weekly basis, a little update on all the people, places and things I’ve been enjoying this week.

Hopefully you’ll love them as much as I do, so let’s get on with it, shall we?

THE GUARDIAN LABS FEATURE

This week has been a really exciting week for the Penderson (Pelham and Henderson) household, thanks to our friend and stylist, Emma Jane Palin, who featured our colourful little home in the Saturday supplement, as well as online. It made all the late nights and early mornings decorating the place worth it.

If you fancy having a gander at the article, you can read the whole thing here: High colour, low clutter: how a couple brought ‘maximalist minimalism’ to their Margate home

FARROW AND BALL, SETTING PLASTER

It might come as a bit of a shock, if you’ve seen my house, to learn that Farrow and Ball, Setting Plaster is one of my favourite paint colours right now. It’s such a pretty colour, it feels like a hug to me. What I love about it most of all is how great it makes other colours look when paired next to it. In my home, there are a few walls we painted brilliant white, but you betcha, when I have the time, I’ll be repainting them with this colour quicker than quick.

@LUCYWILLIAMSHOME & REMOTELY NEWSLETTER

My love for Lucy Williams’s home is embarrassing; I fan girl over it far too regularly to admit – when I’m not liking her home posts on Instagram, I’m over on her Remotely newsletter page, gobbling up all the inspiration it has to offer.

I love her use of sophisticated colours and how she manages to balance her home with just the right amount of ‘stuff’. If you haven’t signed up for her newsletter yet, I’d urge you to do so; it’s such a treat.

GLASSETTE

Another hero of mine (gah! – I need to get a life here, don’t I?) is the wonderful, Laura Jackson. The TV presenter founded the interiors marketplace, Glassette, which is a curation of the most beautiful homeware pieces ever to exist. Ever. I can be on the site for hours, mentally spending millions.

SMALL PLEASURES BY CLARE CHAMBERS

I’m not usually a fiction book kinda-gal so if I’m recommending one then it must be good! I couldn’t put this down; Chambers had me hooked from the first page. Give it a read if you love a period romance novel mixed with a dash of mystery.

THIS STORY JEWELLERY

Shhhh! I’m sneaking this one in – it’s not actually interiors-related, but it’s my website so my rules – alright?! *said with cheesy grin*

This Story Jewellery has launched its latest collection just in time for end-of-year gifting and it’s to die for. If you want to get your treasures before Christmas, I’d get your orders in now, while stocks last!

H&M VELVET CUSHION COVER

Do you know how much I love thick striped cushions? Loads. That’s how much. This one from H&M is no exception to that. The velvet makes it look super luxe and the colours are pulling right at my heart.

URBAN OUTFITTERS CHROME ANSEL LAMP

Remember how crazy everyone went for the Urban Outfitters Ansel lamp when it first came out last year? Well, they’ve outdone themselves with this mirrored, silver one. It’s like an updated version of a disco ball, and the mirrored surface will reflect light nicely when it’s off during the day. I absolutely love it, but sadly I don’t need another lamp right now. Or do I?! Hmmm.
