The house party aka the weekly edit from editor, Lindsey Isla
Hello! How are you, my dear friend? Thank you for being here.
I’ve had a busy week, and although I’ve not been anywhere other than my home or local coffee shop, life has thrown me a few curve balls. I’m busting to tell you, but I have to wait so watch this space and all that.
I can’t believe we’re already in the second week of November, and with the least November weather ever too. As I type, the sun is bearing down on me through the window; the last thing I needed on my walk this morning was a coat – shocking, but I’m not complaining.
Anyway, I’ll stop being so British, harping on about the weather, and get on with this week’s edit. I have so many treats for you; I’m very excited about this one.
Paper Spoon
I can’t get over this collage wall art from Margate-based artist, Maddy Vian. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this before, the simplicity and colours are so up my street. I’m a huge fan of abstract art and these colourful collages would bring so much joy to your home.
EFT

Thanks to TikTok, I discovered EFT a few weeks ago and have been reading ‘The Tapping Solution’ by Nick Ortner. His book, now a New York Times best-seller, is at the forefront of a new healing movement. If you’re into self-help books as much as I am, then give this one a whirl.
Homehagen Copenhagen

I don’t think I could get through a weekly edit without mentioning something from Denmark, could I? They just do it so well over there. I found this gorgeous bedding via Instagram and it stopped me in my tracks. The patterns, the colours, the art direction – it’s all so pretty!
Toby’s Home on TikTok
@tobyshome0 on TikTik is some very wholesome interiors content and I for one, can’t get enough. Interior designer, Toby Perryman-Payne, posts videos from his beautiful cottage. It’s cosy, relaxing and the content we all need right now.
ARCHIVE, Ramsgate
This is for my Kent babes, or those visiting, I’ve been taking myself over to Ramsgate recently to visit ARCHIVE cafe and homeware store. It sits right on the harbour and has long opening hours – so an ideal spot to hang for a couple of hours.
Louis Theroux Interviews
I haven’t actually seen much TV recently, but what I have watched has been really good and that includes this new series from Louis Theroux on the BBC. So far, each episode has been eye-opening in its own way, I’d highly recommend it.
Lena Dunham’s House
We need to talk about Lena Dunham’s house. Wow. Dunham designed her home with her mother, Laurie Simmons, and it’s incredible. It feels a bit like my own house, but on steroids. So much so, a friend sent me Dunham’s Instagram post with the words: ‘you have to see this,’ which put a huge smile on my face. Head to read her essay about the experience here.
