The House Party: Anti-Black Friday

Hello!

Another week gone by and another day closer to Christmas; can you believe it?

Apologies for the attention grabbing title there; it’s not that I’m against Black Friday as such, I just wanted this particular piece to be a place you could escape it, if you needed to.

The constant ‘spend spend spend’ messages can be a little overwhelming.

Speaking of Christmas, I’ve very recently discovered The Calm Christmas Podcast with Beth Kempton. If you’ve been keeping up to date with my edits, then I’m sure you’ll know how much I love a cosy lifestyle – this podcast is just that. Listening to it has brought me so much calm and comfort over the past few days. If you’re looking for a huge dollop of escapism, then you have to give this a try.

Deliciously Ella has joined TikTok! I’m a big fan of Deliciously Ella: I listen to her podcast religiously, I have her app and I’m a little bit addicted to her oat bars and chocolate almonds. Her TikTok, as you might expect, is full of yummy plant-based recipes you can easily recreate at home.

I had the pleasure of attending a wreath making workshop with award-winning non-alcoholic spirit Atopia and SAGE flowers last week. Despite my wreath-making skills being a little bit…questionable, I had so much fun taking time out to get creative and Christmassy.

The masterclass is available to the public on the 7th and 13th of December at 7:30pm, The Gallery at Sea Containers, London. This would make a great gift for someone you love; I think spending quality time is the best Christmas gift of all!

Tickets can be purchased here
