The House Party: The Big Clear Out!

Hello Again!

I’m always so excited about these weekly catch-ups with you; I hope you’re enjoying them too. Not only do I love sharing all my finds from the week, but it makes the week’s fly by – I’m sure of it.

That new-year-feeling has really got me in chokehold right now and I’ve been clearing out my house like never before. We’ve done it all: the loft and my wardrobe are unrecognisable (Vinted is my new best friend).

Other than selling all my worldly possessions, I’ve been reading a LOT. Last week I was nose-deep in ‘Godmersham Park‘ by Gill Hornby. I’m not usually one for reading period books, but the escapism of it really captured me and I couldn’t put it down. I will be investing her other’s, for sure.

As soon as that one was finished (literally) I picked up ‘I’m Glad My Mom Died’ by Jennette McCurdy. I’m a couple of chapters in and I’m obsessed; it feels like everyone is reading this right now and I can see why, it’s un-put-down-able. I was concerned it would be a little depressing for the beginning of the year, but it hasn’t been so far.

Homeware-wise, I can’t stop thinking about wiggly lamps and candlesticks. I’ve probably mentioned these before, but Glassette sell Bias Editions the Wiggle pieces are outrageously beautiful, and cool, and great, and stunning, and amazing, and I love them! Can you tell?

We made some aubergine vegan meatballs last week with a vegan ricotta made from cashew nuts. It was incredibly tasty, my tummy is rumbling just thinking about it, I adapted the recipe from TikTok (of course); you can find the meatball recipe here and the cashew cheese here (I made the cheese extra thick to mimic the ricotta texture).

As for my wish list this week, I’ve popped some items I’ve been going doe-eyed over below, happy browsing:

L x
