Hello!
De-influencing has been all over my TikTok FYP (for you page) this week; it’s been refreshing and, at times, hilarious.
Fake news travels fast (I’m told) so finding out what’s ACTUALLY worth the hype isn’t easy. If you’d forked out 500-quid on a Dyson Air Wrap would you be ready to tell the world how s**t it was? I don’t think so.

Side note: I do actually ~love~ my Air Wrap; I have to try and stop myself using it if anything.
The beginning of my year has been really…well…boring, there’s no two ways about it, but I’ve loved it all the same SO I’m here to tell you that parties, romantic getaways, shopping trips aren’t all they’re cracked up to be sometimes – there is nothing wrong with a cup of tea on the sofa and an early night. Life in the slow lane is more exciting than I ever thought it could be. Are you with me?

As I mentioned last week, I went to see ‘The Empire of Light‘ in the cinema and I’m happy to report it was awesome. It’s a slow film, but it’s beautiful and poignant – I’d urge you to go and see it.
In true de-influencing style, I’m here to tell you that I got half way through ‘The Man Who Died Twice’ by Richard Osman and put it down in favour of ‘Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow’ by Gabrielle Zevin. It’s not that I thought it was a bad book…it just wasn’t really for me. I may finish it, but then again, I may not.

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin – Amazon from £7.99
If you’re into your long-form stuff, which, I presume you are since you’re reading this, then check out doer-upper.co; an internet-pal of mine has set up a brilliant blog where you can get all sorts of home advice and follow her own personal renovating journey. It’s wonderful.
My final share this week, other than my lust list a bit further down the page, is a YouTube video from the Sunday Times Style which features the colourful home of Max Hurd. His kitchen is particularly stunning; it filled me with inspiration, I’m sure you’ll feel the same too. Enjoy, ma chérie.
There are a few homeware pieces I’m buzzing to share with you this week, including some salt and pepper shakers, which, I think you’ll be particularly besotted with – I’ll leave them below:
