You can’t go wrong with a white dinner set, can you; it’s classic, simple and elegant.
If you’re into tablescapes then white acts as a really nice backdrop for all the other bits and bobs you want to draw attention to.
White is also seasonal-less, it looks good whatever the weather – you could bring out at Christmas and no one is going to complain.

You know how it is, you get your favourite dinner plate out the dishwasher only to discover its chipped and scratched. Heartbreaking.
Well, there is an answer to this issue and it goes by the name of Corelle. One of the reasons Corelle dinner sets are so popular is because they’re chip resistant as well as being dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.
They’re perfect for the modern day household.
Corelle winter frost 12-piece dinner set – Concept Housewares £64.99
ASDA are always coming through with the goods; a 12 set piece for this price is pretty unbeatable. They’ve labelled it basic; I think it’s anything but.
Basic white dinner set – George at Home £12
These scalloped plates have to be my favourite on the list, I know its not a full dinner set, however, you’d be able to pick up the 12 pieces for a great price.

In my eyes, Marks and Spencer can do no wrong and that’s certainly true when it comes to their white crockery. Something about the finish on these makes them feel more high end than budget.
12-piece porcelain set – M&S £15
This is a really smart looking dinner set from John Lewis; the textured stoneware feels more homely and hearty than the bone china and porcelain pieces.
Textured stoneware – John Lewis £78
