When it comes to furniture trends, pink has never looked so good – pink desks, vases, sofas, even beds are hotter than hot right now – they’re boiling.
Since 2014, we’ve seen the evolution of pink in fashion and design; the colour took on a genderless role and was dubbed ‘millennial pink’. While the nick name has disappeared, shades of pink are still very much in style – pink furniture is no different.

Pink is a versatile colour so it’s a great choice for a sofa – there are some great ones on the market – it acts as a neutral so it’s an easy colour to include in your decorating scheme.

According to an experiment by psychologist Schuss in the late 70s, prisoners were less aggressive after being held in cells which were painted pink.

Balancing pink furniture with other colours is easier than you might think because it’s basically a neutral.
Lighter shades of pink are easier to pair with other colours than bold pinks, but don’t let that stop you – one of my favourite colour combinations is millennial pink and bright red.
Pink is a fun and playful colour so embrace those characteristics in your design and have fun using it in your decor. Personally, there isn’t a colour I wouldn’t pair with pink!
