Is it easy to remove old wallpaper yourself?

My husband and I disagree massively when it comes to DIY and decorating: he thinks the destruction jobs are the best and I think it’s the re-construction.

Give me painting, staining, tiling and I’m happy whereas he, on the other hand, wants to knock down walls, pull up carpets and remove the wallpaper.

What’s the condition of the walls like behind the wallpaper? How much strength do you have in your arms? Do you have enough podcasts to listen to?

When I was removing wallpaper from my old bedroom which was about 10 foot x 10 foot, it took a couple of days – the walls were in very bad condition and the woodchip wallpaper had been painted several times.
